Difficulty installing SQL Server 2005 Management Studio on Windows 7
I have SQL Server 2005 Developer's Edition and am having trouble
doing a full install on a new computer with Windows 7 Home Premium.
For one thing, I could not install SQL Server Management Studio.
I did have to bypass the script on the distribution CD. I wound
up installing

@@VERSION Gives Different Info Than Enterprise Manager (SQL 2000)
Hello,
We have a server running SQL Server 2000 running on Windows Server 2003 R2.
When I run "select @@version" in Query Analyzer, I get the following output:

Replication Issue on SQL 2005 sp3 64bit win2k r2 sp2
Looking at the log below, why would I get this error? I found that bunch of
stored procedures were invalidated at around the same time. Could this have
something to do with it?
Thanks in advance

Named instance licensing
Hello,
I currently am doing all my licensing per proc - here's the question:
If I have a SQL Server with 2 procs, and have a 2-proc license, and I have 3
named instances on the same server, does those 2-proc SQL licenses cover all
the named instances?

Stats assessment, accurate?
-In SQL2005, it is OK to have older stats provided the table has not
changed. How old is really older for optimizer or it doesn't care as
long as table table has not changed?
-Auto updates stats will update table stats only if the table data has
changed more than 20%.
-If the database auto stats update is on. It will update non-indexed

What does Profiler/Perf Monitor tick marks represent?
Hi all!
I am correlating my SQL profiler trace file with Perf Monitor csv data. When
I import the performance data, I see the left side of the line graph is
numbered from 1 - 100. The graph looks great but I do not know what the 1 -
100 represents for my data. Do you know what these tick marks represent?

We have a large number of SQL 2000 databases having collation
SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS. We are now upgrading to SQL2008R2.
