Snapshot agent error the process is running and is waiting for a response from t

I am using transactional replication on 2 test instances MS SQL 2005 9.0.4035
SP3 after starting snapshot agent it stops on 99%
with message the process is running and is waiting for a response from the
server . I Used sp_who2 and dbcc inputbuffer and tried to increase timeouts
but it didn't help.

Transaction replication with Updatable Subscription

I have two servers that will replicate to eache other. I have to decide
which type of replication I will use. The replication that best fits is the
Transaction Replication with Updatable Subscriptions. I have read that
Updatable Subscriptions for Transactional Replications will be removed from
the future versions of SQL Server. Is it really true?

Number of disks and size?

Hi, We are about to setup ms sql 2008 in a new server machine.
There are today 2 user defined databases of size 30GB and 2GB that will
migrate to 2008 from sql 2005
The disks are in hp "EVA".
We are thinking of using this setup, does this seem appropriate in terms of
getting best performance? is the disk size enough?

connect sql 2000 db to access project -read only

Dear Sir
I am trying to conenct sql 2000 database to access project. I could able to
connect , all the tables are visible in the adp file
But I am unable to make any design changes, editing table values etc.
All tables are read only.
All other database files, I can connect and edit data exept one database

I'm new to clustering. We are trying to set up an Active-Active cluster
consisting of two nodes with each of the two SQLServer nodes hosting
multiple databases. We followed the two step approach in installing and
configuring the nodes. We setup SQLServer on the first node with default
instance and when we were trying to install SQLServer on the second node

We are facing a issue with merge replication.
Suppose I have a table customer (cid,cname) which we have published.
Note cid is primary key and it is not identity.
Initially there is one row in customer table (1,'Mohan')
After replication process
At publisher: one row is inserted with cid=2

Initialize Subscriptions flag

When a subscription is added via the wizard, there is a check box to
initialize each subscription with a snapshot of the publication data,
either 'At first synchronization' or 'Immediately'.
How can I determine if a subscription was initialized when it was
created?? What table is this flag stored in??
