Multi-instance cluster

Hello All,
I haven't done much digging yet but I have to build a sql server 2008 R2
cluster with 2 nodes. The configuration must be "active/Active" or what we
now call Multi-instance cluster.
I just need confirmation on the following:
1. If I need one SQL server running on Node1 and another sql server running

Installing SQLExpress and Db restore using InnoSetup

Is anybody using InnoSetup for installing and deploying a MSSQL Express
database? I used SQLDMO but would like to update this. Additionally we have
sometimes issues with win7.
Has anybody a working script for installing all prerequisites, detecting an
existing server, attching/restoring a database and is willing to share?

Reporting Services print error

I have 2 reporting services servers. 1 with SSRS 2005 SP3 and another with
SSRS 2008 SP1.
When I go to IE 7 or IE 8 and try to print a report from SSRS 2005 or 2008,
appears the error message: "Unable to load client print control". Navigating
for a few blogs and found he had to uninstall the ActiveX control

Hello,
Is the procedure to change database recovery model from full to simple?Is ot
only change in properties or we need do something more.I would like to have
very small transaction log after this operation.

SQL 2008 on Win7 - can't install

I'm trying to install SQL 2008 R2 from my Action Pack subscription on my
Windows 7 Home Premium x64 box. The setup doesn't say it's not supported,
so I'm assuming it is supported. All is good until about 3/4 way thru the
actual install when I get this message:
The following error has occurred:

How to embed MS SQL Server Installation using VB.NET Setup project.

I have tried the trial version of Microsoft Dynamic POS and it is great
specially when I saw that when you install the software, SQL Server
installation is included with the setup program.
I am wondering how to do the same when I am going to create an installation

SQL merge setup question

i have a question and i hope i can do what i want.
We have a distributor (A) w/ 2 subscribers (B & C). we are upgrading
from SQL 2000 to 2005.
I have removed replication on all three servers. Upon rebooting C the
network card crapped out and now i can't connect to it at all.
What i want to do is upgrade A and B to SQL 2005, and setup replication

I have two databases A and B on one pyhsical box called 'P'. I need to put

TDE encryption

Hi Friends,
SQL 2008 - TDE encryption
I'm trying to apply TDE for one of my databases, all seems run fine,
except that when I run
SELECT db_name(database_id), encryption_state
FROM sys.dm_database_encryption_key s with (nolock)
after applying encryption to database, the state of encryption is 2
(Encryption in progress).
