SQL 2008 Cluster vs SQL 2008 R2 Cluster

I will be installing a new SQL Server cluster in a couple weeks. Is
there any benefit to going with SQL Server 2008 R2 over SQL Server 2008?
We already have in-house experience with SQL 2008 clusters but none with
R2 cluster yet.
With R2, during a failover, do users still get disconnected as they do

max text repl size

What is the max setting for 'max text repl size'? I've read different
information on the web. One link to an MSDN article I found states that "A
value of -1 indicates no limit, other than the limit imposed by the data
type." Is this true?
Thanks,
Mark
