Period for restarts 15:00 (default)
Max. restarts in the specified period 1 (default)

CU8 contents/installation

I have downloaded and am preparing to install CU8 on my test instance. In
the hotfix.txt file, it lists (supposedly) all the kb's included in the
fixes. However this list only contains 36 kb numbers whereas CU1 through CU8
articles list nearly 300 kb's in total.
CU8 should contain all fixes ever since SP1, right? Even if the hotfix text

Moving MSDE databases to SQL 2000 on same server

My company runs an SBS 2003 server and has a number of third party
products (backup software, virus checker, etc.) and MS products
(Sharepoint) installed that each use their own MSDE installations. I
am trying to move everything to SQL Server 2000, so I can then remove
all these unnecessary MSDE installs and reclaim that space on the C:

Failed cluster group - how to remove?

I went through the install process with Win2K8R2 and SQL2008 (64bit) and
came across the kerebos issue. I've figured that out but now when I go
into the cluster resource group it lists the failed installs there. How
do I remove them? I removed the node from the install screen but they
are still listed in this resource group and of course I can't reuse the

Cluster resources required for SQL 2005 Install

Hi,
I am in the process of installing SQL 2005 on a 2 node cluster. When I
enter the virtual server name I get the following error message: The
specified Virtual Server name already exists.
The resources that have been created for this instance are the Drive, IP,

Deploying management tools with profiler

I believe its possible to record, or to retrieve a script from an sql
installation, and to deploy this to multiple other sql installations.
Can anyone refresh my memory on this.
I actualy would like to use this, Only to deploy the SQL Management
Studio tools, including the needed profiler. All SQL management express
