sql2005 connect dialog window - how to not remember username?

I logged into my sql server (2005) from a remote computer that has sql2005
tools --in sql server authentication mode. I left the remember password
checkbox unchecked. When I re-log in from this remote computer the password
box is blank but the username box still has my username. Is there a way to

I am getting the error "login failed for user''" when trying to connect to my
SQL 2005 from a remote server using windows authentication. Using SQL
authentication works, but is not a suitable work-around.

SQLserver 2008 upgrade issue

Hi
i upgraded sql server 2000 sp4 active/passive cluster (windows 2003 sp2)
and got into issue. Ran the upgrade on active node and the node was
upgraded to 2008 and the failover happend to passive node.but the drive
resource failed and sql server & agent offline. showing error windows
about the cluster drive resouce.

I've set up our first sql2k8 cluster on w2k8 r2 and it works as
expected.
Now I got a funny experience with the firewall. As I want it the
firewall is started and the proper ports is open.
For a reason on helping a co-worker I stopped the windows firewall
service on one node and what is happening is that the opened ports is

Everyone,
I have configured a SQL 2005 cluster with two nodes. My SQL data is on a SAN
attached drive managed by NetApp which is drive x:. When I try to test the
fail over or move from one node to the other x: drive is locked by the first
node and the fail over fails. Can anyone share any pointers why this is
