MSDTC

We have an active-passive cluster environment with Windows Server 2003 and
SQL Server 2005, where the MSDTC is working correctly, in the passive
environment is installed SQL Server 2005 used for testing, but does not
activate the service Distributed Transaction Coordinator (DTC), we need
activate it for use with the Biztalk databases. The screen is disabled

[IMPORTANT!!!] Windows erasing SAN disk

I think I discovered a BIG problem with Windows 2003 x64 R2 SP2.
Suppose I set a setup a server and connecting it to a SAN disk and then
format this disk. When I setup a secondary server to the same disk the disk
is seen as unformatted and Windows has to initialize it again, so I lost all
data in it.

Urgent help on Kerberos

Hi All
Application uses ASP.Net 2005 and SQL server 2005
We are connecting to the web application from a local machine. When we
click a button on the app a file should be downloaded to the web
server where the app is hosted. This works with Kerberos enabled and
using integrated security set on the website properties.

a brand new query tool is out on beta, we need feedback, so you get a free copy

We at Nob Hill Software are working on a new query tool:
[link]
You can read all about it on the above web page, but basically, its a
very ambitious project to create what we call 'the query tool to end
all query tools': everything you ever wanted, desired, dreamed about

SQL 2005 Cluster performance

I am looking to implement SQL Clustering on a SAN with SATA drives. While I know that clustering is not a "performance" solution, however performance is a consideration when looking for read/write times.
The solution I am exploring has fibre DAE's and FC switches with FC HBAs in each server connecting to the SAN. Theoretically, the FC will achieve a better throughput with FC drives...however, the costs associated are too high.

Unable to see all partitions SQL Server Management Studio

Hi,
I'm running 4 instane SQL Server 2005 in an active/passive clustered
enviroment utilizing a SAN.
I'm running out of space on one of my LUN's for one particular instance.
This instance was originally set up as follows:
LUN 1 - Database partition (3 databases) - K drive
LUN 2 - Log Partition - L drive

SQL Server 2005 cluster reverts to Windows only mode after failove

All,
SQL Server 2005 EE SP3 CU1 in an active-passive failover cluster
configuration.
Whenever I fail over the cluster or restart SQL Server, the SQL Server
reverts from mixed mode to Windows mode.
I've read that this is a known issue with SP3 CU1 and other later CUs for
SP3. Is this true?
Also, if it's true, will SP4 resolve this issue?
