Find active node name in SQL 2000 Cluster

I have an application that connects to SQL Server clustered instance and
works based on the fact whether it is installed on active SQL node or passive
SQL node.
I have found fn_virtualservernodes() function that returns the list of
failover nodes. I have observed that the first node returned by this

Invalid connection string attribute Error

We recently upgraded our SQL 2000 database to SQL2005. We have several COM
objects, written in Visual Basic 6.0, using a basic connection string to

About access to Sql Server

Hello!
Assume I use Integrated Security. I have two windows accounts one account
Tony that I use when logging in to the machine and the other is ASPNET that
IIS is using.
Now to my question will these two windows account(Tony and ASPNET) have the
same access rights to Sql Server ?
I mean that every windows account that you use with Integrated Secirity have

Does anyone know how to prevent a cluster group from starting. I have a
situation whereby I have several standby groups that have resources that are
not accessible without manual intervention which act as standby groups and
so need to remain offline until DR situation is invoked (there are also live

ssms intellisense questions

SQL 2008
I have a couple of questions about SSMS which I've been unable to find the
answers for and I'm hoping someone can help.
1 - When I create a new object, SSMS intellisense doesn't know about that
object until I close it and restart it. Is there a way to "refresh" it so
intellisense knows about these new objects? I've tried hitting "refresh" at

SSMS 2008 - Suppress Save Prompt

Hi,
Is there a way to suppress the prompt askinng to save when using SSMS 2008
query editor, as there was in SQL 2000?
I don't see it in the options.

FailOver Instance "ABCD" cluster group not found

Dear All,
While adding second Node into Named instance in SQL 2008 x86 Ent. Clustering
we are getting error "FailOver Instance "ABCD" cluster group not found", not
able to add add second node. Os is windows 2008 x64 Ent.
Any information on above error.
