SS2K8 on Win2K8 cluster 6 nodes

Hi,
We want to install 4 active SQL nodes and 2 passive nodes.
do we have to install 4 named instances or may it be 4 default instances?
will we have to install additional nodes on all nodes in the cluster for the
4 instances (24 install)?
Is there some good resource about installing multiple instances on multiple

Installed the first node and it appeared that the installation only
installed to the first physical node?! dont remember seeing a physical node
selection (as per sql2k5 clustering) so have uninstalled (via remove node)
and then add/remove programs to try again. uninstall fine but now when
attempting to install, cluster still thinks the network name is already in

Ms SQL2005 remote connection problem

Hi,
I need help,
Im trying to connect MSSQL2005 database from a remote computer. Both system
using Windows xp. I have no problem connecting in the local laptop with
MSSQL2005 as local. But i get this error when trying to connect remotely:

database snapshots -restoring status

Hi,
I had restored a production database backup to a TRAINING database using symantec.I accidently asked symantec to restore model,msdb and database snaphots to an existing TRAINING database. Symantec reported that there is database inconsistancies and when I check the instance, the database snapshots are in restoring status. What should I do to resolve the problem? Can I drop and recreate the database snaphots? How to know whether is there any connections to that database snapshots?

I am trying to access an AZMAN store that is located in ADAM from a sql
query. I have written the query below but dont get any data. Is it possible
to access AZMAN in the same way you would access AD?
