SQL Server error on boot

I may have posted this question in the wrong forum .... if so, my apologies.
I installed Microsoft Accounting on my desktop only to discover that it is
not available for UK use. A Microsoft technician helped me to uninstall it
all and in the process appears to have damaged the SQL processes on my

Need to get identity after AddNew

I know this issue has been solved before for some people. I looked all over
the net and found some solutions but they do not work for me. I am fairly new
to SQL. I am not using stored procedures and due to schedule, do not have
time to go down a learning path for that. I am using MFC and ADO.
I can add the records (with AddNew) just fine. That works.

Applying security update 09-004 to SQL tools installation

Hello,
I have SQL 2000 MSDE installed on an application server and I have
applied SP4 and the security update, SQL2000-KB960082-v8.00.2055-
x86x64-ENU.exe. I then had to install the SQL 2000 tools on the
machine due to restrictions within the domain. I know that the
security update applies to the database engine and the tools

Help! Windows 7 Cannot connect to SQL Server 2005

Hello All,
Not sure if this is the right forum group, but the problem appears to be on
the client side;
I have 2 Windows 7 installs (Pro) on my network, and neither one of them can
connect to SQL Server 2005 (which is installed on my Win2k8 domain server).
I get a return message that says "SQL Server does not exist or Access Denied".

where is sqlncli for sql 2005?

I can't find the download for sqlncli.msi for sql 2005. Anyone one
know if this is still available? I'm downloading sql 2005 sp3 as I
type, but who knows if this will contain the file. I need to get an
update to a client.
